Instructions
Formatting options are available to you when you are editing your Note. On Mac these tools are only visible when your cursor is inside the note body. On Windows you can see them at all times.
The tools that you can use to change the way the note looks are as follows:
- Text style tools: Font style and size, bold, italicize, underline, color, highlight
- List tools: Create bulleted lists, numbered lists, and checklists
- Layout tools: Insert line dividers, realign text, and add tables
Similar formatting tools can be accessed from the Format item of the main menu.
You can use more fonts than just those you see in the drop down menu. To see more fonts, click on the arrows to the right of the Font Style button on the formatting ribbon by clicking Format, then Show Fonts on the Toolbar and then selecting All Fonts.
To strikethrough text, highlight the text and click the Strikethrough icon on the Formatting ribbon (Evernote PC). Alternatively, you may use shortcuts: Cmd + Ctrl + K for Evernote Mac or Ctrl + T for Evernote PC.
To move backwards through a list of most recent formatting changes, press 'Command + Z' (Mac) or 'Ctrl +Z' (Windows). To move forwards through a list of most recent formatting changes, press 'Shift + Command + Z' (Mac) or 'Shift + Ctrl +Z' (Windows).
