When to use
Evernote can help you to master the skill of nurturing relationships and makes it amazingly easy to keep in touch with others.
Instructions
If you can create categories for people you want to keep in touch, go ahead and do that as it will help you to better organize your notes.
Group your contacts in categories like:
●Organization
●Event
●Prospects
●Clients
You can use these category names also when you select labels for your notebooks or tags.
To make things a bit more streamlined for yourself, create a template and use it for every single new contact. All you’ll have to do is copy your template.
Your template might look like this:
Business website:
E-mail:
Organization:
Additional info:
Interests:
Just entering contact information into Evernote isn’t going to help you build relationships.
You need to set reminders for staying in touch.
There are lots of ways to keep in touch:
●Making introductions
●Referring people to one another
●Sharing links to interesting articles
●Participating in conversations they are starting on social media
●Remembering important-for-them dates or events
A great way to organize Notes containing information about individual contacts is to create a Table of Contents Note that will list links to those individual “Contact Notes.” This will work in both situations: if you collect your Contact Notes in a single Notebook or tag them in a uniform way, because you can create table of contents of ANY selected notes.
