When to use
If you love traveling, all information like researching interesting destinations, packing lists, and even pictures you take while on your trip can live in one single place in Evernote.
Instructions
Whether you’re are a regular or occasional traveler, Evernote can be a fabulous tool for managing the details of your trip.
Here are just a few example how invaluable Evernote can become when planning and sharing your travel experiences.
Well in advance:
●Clip into Evernote interesting articles about different destinations
●Forward into Evernote emails with special offers or appealing to you good deals
●Once you’ve decided where you’ll be going, research the places you’ll want to visit, restaurants to check out, or local dishes or beverages to try
Closer to the trip:
- Forward (copy paste) into Evernote your itinerary, flight confirmation number (or numbers if taking several flights)
- Any frequent flyer numbers associated with the airline you’re flying
- Emergency number of the airline you’re flying in case something goes wrong
- Name and telephone number of the car rental company
- Confirmation number and details of to the car rental arrangement
- Address and telephone number of the hotel you’ll be staying
- Confirmation number of your accommodation booking/reservation
- Check-in and check-out dates and times of your stay
Before the trip:
- Put together a packing list not to forget anything. Use checkbox feature to check off items that you’ve packed
- Create a list of people (i.e., clients, friends, or relatives) to notify that you’ll be away
- List what else needs to be done before you go, i.e., make arrangements for your pet or plants, ask the neighbor to empty your mailbox, etc.
During the trip:
- Take pictures of your receipts (especially if it’s a business trip and you’ll need to submit an expense report once you are back)
- Take pictures period. You can send them directly to Evernote and quickly share with your friends to brag about vacation
You don’t have to travel regularly to plan your trips with ease.
