2. What is the difference between the project manager focus and the PMO focus with respect to controlling resources?
The project manager controls resources to best achieve a specific project goal. The PMO controls resources to optimize the use across all projects and thereby attain all the project goals.
There is no difference. The project manager and the PMO are both monitoring project performance to ensure the project achieves its goal or objectives.
The project manager controls the people resources and the PMO controls the budget resources.
3. What organizational entity is typically responsible for creating and maintaining the project management methodology, tools and templates for a business?
The Project Management Office.
The Project Management Institute (PMI).
