1. For what do you use a Stakeholder register?
To estimate the effort required to conduct project communications.
To plan and manage the stakeholder interactions.
To limit the number of stakeholders who are associated with the project.
2. Based upon the stakeholder power/interest grid, which stakeholders should you manage closely?
High power and low interest – managing them closely is likely to gain their interest.
All stakeholders – you should not show preference to one over another.
High power and High interest – since these will be the most demanding stakeholders.
3. What is the best approach to manage your stakeholders?
Meet with all your stakeholders weekly and give them a status update.
Invite all your stakeholders to your regularly scheduled team meetings. If they miss three in a row, they should be removed from the stakeholder register.
You do not manage the stakeholders, you manage the stakeholder interactions.
