1. What is a workaround?
A change to the project goal or objective in order to avoid an issue or threat that has occurred and a prior response had not been planned or was not effective.
A response to a threat or issue that has occurred, for which a prior response had not been planned or was not effective.
As project work is accomplished, the activity shifts to the next team member until the work has gone around the entire team.
2. What is the purpose of an Issue Log?
Document failures and problems for Lessons Learned.
Create focus on issue resolution and communicate issue resolution status to stakeholders.
Logbooks are the official records of the project. An Issue Log documents issues for review by auditors.
3. Who is responsible for making the decision to implement a workaround?
Senior Management who authorized the project.
Whichever project team member discovers the issue.
The project Core Team, including the project leader.
