Because emails are never funny.
In a professional environment, not everyone gets humor when the tone of voice is missing. You may risk offending someone.

3. Should you bother with Spell Check?
Only spell check important emails.
Yes, because your professional reputation is judged all the time and it is important to use correct spelling and grammar.
No, I’m too busy and they know I spell badly.
