1. How do you access the backstage?
Select backstage from the view tab.
Run Microsoft Project.
Click the File tab.
2. When you use the share menu in Microsoft Project, you can send the file to other people using Microsoft Outlook. Can those individuals edit the file so it updates (synchronizes) with your original project file?
When someone makes a change, they can send them back to me and I can click the synchronize button to update my project with their changes.
When you share an MPP file, others can edit the file, but you cannot synchronize changes people make with your project.
Other people can edit the files.
3. Do I need a copy of Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF version of my file?
Yes, I need a copy of Adobe Acrobat installed on my computer to export to PDF.
No. I just output the file to the Microsoft XPS file format.
No. There is an export option in the backstage that allows me to output the file to PDF. This is different from having a printer driver, so if you want to use the print menu from the backstage to output to a PDF, you do indeed need Adobe Acrobat or a third-party PDF print driver.
