1. When you add a predecessor to a task, what is the one other field you know Microsoft Project will always update for you?

2. What is the one task you do not have to link with a predecessor?
The first task that starts the project. You may have a few tasks that start at the beginning of the project. Those other tasks do not require a predecessor link either. If there is one task that absolutely does not need a predecessor link, it is the first task that starts at the beginning of the project.
The project summary task.
The last task.
3. If you want two tasks to start at the same time in your schedule, how do you accomplish that?
Change the start date of the project.
Link one task, then manually type the start date so it matches with the linked task.
Use a start-to-start (SS) relationship.
