A resource is any person or thing in the resource sheet. A resource assignment is any resource you add to a task.
2. When you assign a resource to a task, how do you estimate the amount of time the person will actually work?
You do not have to do this because Microsoft Project’s scheduling engine will estimate the hours for you.
Go to the View tab and click the Details checkbox. Add the resources in the task form and then estimate the hours.
In the Gantt chart view, insert the Work column and type the number of hours.
3. Is it okay to assign a resource to a milestone task?
A milestone assumes the work is complete and is typically zero days in duration, so you should not assign resources to a milestone.
