1. Which ribbon contains Index tools?
REFERENCES Ribbon, Index group.
No need to use the tools, just type them in.
Just use the keyboard shortcuts instead of the ribbon.
2. What situation would require an index?
Any type of document where an indexed list of important words and page numbers would help the reader.
College essays, non-fiction texts, scientific research.
None, people won’t use it so why bother?
3. How do you mark all the entries without scouring the pages for certain words?
Ctrl F and type the word you are looking for.
