1. Why is it important to include the logo or the letterhead of your company in a press release?
Because either makes the press release look nice.
Because either conveys the source of the message with immediacy and adds credibility.
Because either familiarizes the audience with your brand, thus promoting it.
2. The employee you had selected as the contact person for your press release has taken compassionate leave just before the press release gets published. What should you do?
Not authorize the compassionate leave so you don’t need to appoint someone else or change the contact details.
Appoint a stand-in who will answer emails and take telephone calls, and leave the contact details unchanged.
Appoint someone else who will be available when the press release is published, and change the contact details accordingly.
3. Why should press releases not be written in the first-person narrative?
Because this is not typical of this form of communication.
Because readers are not interested in your opinion.
Because a press release should be objective.
