What magical phrase for every speech is mentioned in the video?
“For example”, followed by a relevant example.

When giving a speech, is it better to use abstract or specific examples?
Be as abstract and general as possible.
Be specific. Give interesting and relevant examples specific to the topic and audience.

If you can’t think of any relevant examples, consider that the point is not important after all. If it is an important point there must be something relevant and specific that you can use to explain it to the audience.
