1. Why is it a bad idea to deliver your speech by reading it word for word from a piece of paper?
Your audience may get bored.
You may look up and lose your place.
You will have no eye contact with the audience and your pace and tone may become monotonous.
2. If you can’t deliver your speech by reading it word for word, how can you remember it?
Glance at your cheat sheet, which is one piece of paper with your main points on it in large font.
Write some notes on your arm.
Stay up all night memorizing it.
3. What if the main points of your speech don’t fit on one piece of paper?
Make the font one size smaller to fit everything on one page.
If you have too many points, neither you nor your audience will remember them. Narrow your ideas down to the most important messages and put them on your cheat sheet.
Fill out several pages in a notebook instead.
