1. Which characteristic of a data set is essential to be able to sort the data efficiently?
A good header row.
Consistent data types (e.g. text versus numbers) in the column.
No entirely blank rows in the data set.
2. Which of these things can be sorted?
Values, cell colors, formulas.
Values, cell colours, icons.
Values, cell colors, fonts.
3. Which is the best method to sort a data set by multiple columns (i.e. a multi-level sort)?
Sort by the first column, then select the second column and sort by that column.
Sort the data, then select the range of ties and sort that.
Go to Data and click Sort and add as many sorting levels as needed.
