Why would you want to change the hue and saturation of an image to represent night?
Because our eyes adjust to the streetlights .
Because Adjustment Layers need color information to work.
Because lower levels of light reflect less vibrant colors.
What is a quick way to make the sky in this image transparent (while leaving the clouds and leaves in place)?
Use the Blend If function, set to affect only blue colors.
Use the quick selection tool.
Create a Masking Layer and paint in the transparent sections.
