How many layers are there on each slide in Keynote?
The number of layers is equal to the number of objects on the slide.
Each slide starts with a base 10 layers and you can add more.
Each slide only has 1 layer, regardless of the number of objects that are on that slide.
How do we add a new layer to a Keynote slide?
By going to Edit > Add New Layer.
Keynote only has one layer per slide.
Adding a new object to our slide will automatically add a new layer.
Where would we go to move an object forward or backward?
With the object highlighted, we can adjust the layer position of the object on the formatting pane under the “Arrange” tab.
By removing and re-adding the object back to the slide.
Under the File > Adjust Layers option.
