1. How many layers are there on each slide in Keynote?
Each slide only has 1 layer, regardless of the number of objects that are on that slide.
The number of layers is equal to the number of objects on the slide.
Each slide starts with a base 10 layers and you can add more.
2. How do we add a new layer to a Keynote slide?
Keynote only has one layer per slide.
Adding a new object to our slide will automatically add a new layer.
By going to Edit > Add New Layer.
3. Where would we go to move an object forward or backward?
Under the File > Adjust Layers option.
By removing and re-adding the object back to the slide.
With the object highlighted, we can adjust the layer position of the object on the formatting pane under the “Arrange” tab.
