1. What are the steps to Recall a Message?
Retype a corrected email and don’t worry about recalling a message.
Open the sent email from your Sent folder; click the Recall Message button on your Quick Access Bar.
Open any email and click the Recall Message button on your Quick Access Bar.
2. How do you know if a message was successfully Recalled?
You will receive a confirmation email from the Outlook system that will tell you if you were successful or if it failed.
People will start emailing you to ask why you recalled the message.
You don’t know, you can only hope.
3. What can you do to prevent having to Recall a message?
Have someone else read the email for you hit Send.
Have someone else send the email to save you any possible embarrassment.
Take your time before sending an email, make sure you have all the details in order, and sometimes just pause for a few moments and re-read the email before hitting the “send button”.
