1. How do you tell if a banner title is a text box or a picture?
Click the banner and observe which ribbons appear above the work area. It will be either Text Box or Picture, but not both.
Text is always a text box.
Click the banner and try to type into it. If you can type, it is a text box; if not, it is a picture.
2. The video showed red handles around a text box. What would cause this?
The text box needs to be resized.
I have no idea.
The text box is too small and not all of the text is viewable.
3. What is a quick way to view text formatting tools right where you are working in the publication?
Make sure your HOME ribbon is always activated.
Ask someone in the office to find it for you.
Click and drag any word and a mini-bar (with formatting tools) will appear beside your mouse.
