1. What should your setting have to be effective?
A unique and rare location and circumstance.
Specific descriptive details. For example in TJ’s story some of these were: a beautiful palace, Eastern Europe, surrounded by guards.
2. Why should you use a setting in your story?
To make your story seem more realistic.
Describing the setting allows the audience to visualize the story taking place and remember it.
To show people how many places you have traveled to.
3. Why should you include emotion in your story?
To manipulate the audience.
The audience can identify with you based on the emotions you describe.
Emotion provides variety in the flow of your presentation, allows people to imagine it clearly and remember the story.
