1. When you run Microsoft Project for the first time and a Planning Wizard dialog appears, what should you do?
Older versions of Microsoft Project may have different settings than newer versions. This could cause problems so it is best to cancel the operation and select the option to stop opening the planning wizard dialog.
Use the upgrade automatically or upgrade manually option.
Press the cancel button.
2. What is an easy way to find the Microsoft Project icon?
Press the Windows key on your keyboard (usually to the left of the spacebar), and type Project. This works with the start button or with the Windows 8 menu.
Click the Start button (usually located at the bottom left of the screen), click All Programs, locate the Microsoft Office folder, then click locate the Microsoft Project icon.
Go to the control panel and select the add/remove programs option.
3. How do you create a new blank project?
Open a previously saved blank project with a .MPP file extension.
Search for the Earned Value template and double-click to open it.
Run Microsoft Project and select the blank project item.
