Open a new Word doc Pop open a new Word document instantly. Your current Word sheet will not close, and you’ll have the option to choose which kind of sheet you wish to open (either new or previously saved.) Ctrl N N
Open an existing Word doc Previously saved a Word doc? Open it easily with this shortcut that allows for easy navigation of all files saved on your computer. Ctrl O O
Close a specific Word doc If you are looking to close your open Word doc completely and come back to it another time, this shortcut is perfect for you. don’t worry if you haven’t saved your work yet, Word will prompt you to do so if necessary. Ctrl W W
