Fair use policy
At GoSkills, we aim to offer a platform that is fair and accessible to everyone – whether you're just getting started or managing a full-scale learning program. To keep things running smoothly for all our users, we’ve outlined some basic guidelines on what fair usage looks like on both our free and paid plans.
For free plan users
Our free plan is designed to give individuals and teams a lite experience of what using GoSkills is like, while also offering space to evaluate the platform before committing. You can think of it as a sandbox — ideal for small-scale usage, exploration, and internal learning.
To ensure fair access for all, we ask that you refrain from:
- Using GoSkills for profit: That means not using the platform to run your own paid school, training center, or course business.

Excessive usage: This includes behavior such as:
- Publishing a large number of courses
- Overloading our AI features through frequent or automated use
If your usage starts to look more like a business or high-volume training operation, we may ask you to upgrade to a paid plan that better fits your needs.
For paid plan users
We understand that learning teams evolve – employees leave, new students come in. That’s why we allow license switching. However, to maintain fairness:
- License switching should be reasonable and intentional. It’s meant to accommodate employee turnover or cohort-based programs, not to reuse licenses indefinitely across many individuals.
If we notice unusually high or repeated switching that goes beyond intended use, we may step in for a quick review.
Our role in keeping things fair
To make sure everyone gets the best experience possible, our customer success team may occasionally review account usage. If we notice behavior that goes outside this policy, we may:
- Recommend a more suitable plan
- Temporarily freeze or downgrade your account
- Reach out for a conversation to help align usage with the right setup
