Most of your clients start their search for your business online and review sites can be a big part of that process.

When to use

You should always keep in mind that customers are going to review you on review sites, so this is just another reason to provide excellent customer service.

Instructions

Review websites like Angie’s List, Yelp, Trip Advisor, Google Reviews are all over the place and they are more popular than ever.

  • Consumers consult review sites before making buying decisions.
  • Negative reviews can keep customers from trying your business.
  • Positive reviews can boost the number of new customers that contact you.

Because review websites are everywhere they are very SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly.  This means that these review sites will often show up in search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo and a lot of times the review website will show up ranked higher in the search results than the actual business.  This means that review website could be the first thing the potential customer will see about your business.

To increase your customer service experience, start using some of these review sites to become familiar with how they work.

  • 00:46 five shiny stars, I'll read a little bit deeper into it, okay?
  • 00:50 And that's how we do it.
  • 00:52 And a lot of consumers start their search for any kind of products online.
  • 00:58 So consumers consult review sites before making buying decisions, that's big.
  • 01:05 So negative reviews can keep customers from even trying your business in

  • 01:11 positive reviews can boost the number of new customers that contact you.

  • 01:20 That stands for Search Engine Optimization.
  • 01:23 What does that mean?
  • 01:24 That means they'll show up in search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.
  • 01:28 And a lot of times the review websites
  • 01:31 will show up even higher than that business' website itself.
  • 01:36 That's huge, so that could be the first thing
  • 01:38 that your new potential customer sees about your business.
  • 01:42 So it's super important to do that.
  • 01:44 I'll give you an example.
  • 01:45 A buddy of mine was getting married a few years ago down in Mexico,
  • 01:49 in Playa del Carmen.
  • 01:51 It's beautiful.
  • 01:52 It's got the white sand beaches.
  • 01:54 It's got the palm trees, 80 degree, crystal clear, blue aqua water.
  • 01:59 It's absolutely amazing.
  • 02:01 Just being in that atmosphere just feels like you're on vacation.
  • 02:05 And there's one strip where there's probably hundreds of restaurants, and
  • 02:09 we're walking along trying to pick one.
  • 02:11 We couldn't figure out which one to pick.
  • 02:13 And we saw one that looked really good.
  • 02:15 We're like, this looks like a nice place.
  • 02:16 Well hold on, let's go on our app and see.
  • 02:19 So we went on one of the international reviews app, we pulled it open,
  • 02:23 we looked up that restaurant, it had two stars.
  • 02:26 We ran away from that restaurant.
  • 02:29 So we looked through there, we found another one that had five stars.
  • 02:33 We ended up going to that restaurant, and guess what?
  • 02:35 It was awesome.
  • 02:37 So if you wanna increase your customer service experience,
  • 02:40 just out in the real world, start using some of these apps and
  • 02:43 start getting used to it if you don't already do it.
  • 02:46 Okay, that's gonna help boost that customer service experience.
  • 02:49 Okay, so let's review.
