1. Which of the following is not a reason why you might want to “stagger” headings and sub-headings (as pictured) for an ideal layout for a financial model?
When text is positioned in adjacent cells (even diagonally), Excel sometimes forces the formatting to be consistent in all connected cells.
Leaving blank rows and columns around key elements makes it easier to navigate between them.
Spacing plus indenting makes the layout easier to read.
2. If you are in a worksheet with no more entries beneath the cell you are in (for that column), what would happen if you selected the keyboard shortcut CTRL + Down Arrow?
A dialog box would appear stating “No more cells to display”.
The cursor would return to the first cell populated in that column reading down the page.
The cursor would take you to the final cell in the worksheet in that column.
3. If you are in the top row of a column of contiguous (touching) cells, how do you select the entire range?
CTRL + SHIFT + Down Arrow
CTRL + Down Arrow
CTRL + 1
