  • 00:00 One of the smaller features that was added with Photoshop CS6 13.1
  • 00:08 is the ability to create swatches from a CSS or HTML document.
  • 00:14 If you're a web designer, you may already have a CSS or HTML file on hand.
  • 00:18 But, if you ru across a website like flat U Y colors,
  • 00:21 this will allow you to grab all the color at once.
  • 00:25 For this page we'll want to grab the CSS file
  • 00:27 which can usually be found within the source of the website.
  • 00:31 On Google Chrome, right clicking on the page and
  • 00:34 choosing the view page source will bring up the pages HTML document wheer you
  • 00:38 can usually find the CSS file referenced towards the top.
  • 00:42 Click on the CSS link and then save that file somewhere to your computer.
  • 00:48 Now, back in Photoshop, under the swatches panels menu, you can load in
  • 00:51 that CSS file, which will bring in all the colors that were used on that page.
  • 00:57 And, just like you learned earlier,
  • 00:58 clicking on any of the swatches will turn that into your foreground color.
  • 01:02 And, just in case you're worried about losing our new swatches.
  • 01:05 You can save them as a backup or to share with your friends.
  • 01:08 And, that's the Swatches Panel in Photoshop.
  • 01:10 A very simple way to add and access your most commonly used colors.
  • 01:15 And, as of Photoshop CS6 13.1, you can now import colors from CSS or HTML documents.
  • 01:21 So, thanks for watching guys.
  • 01:22 I hope that helped.
