1. You’ve added a new filter to filter your Sales Category on your PivotTable. When you go to use it, you notice that you can only filter by a single category, but you’d like to select Bottled Beer, Canned Beer and Draft Beer. How can you fix this?
Go to PivotTable Options > Totals & Filters > Check the “Select Multiple Items” box.
Hold down the CTRL key and select the additional categories.
Click the “Select Multiple Items” checkbox at the bottom of the filter window.
2. Assume you had a PivotTable filtered as shown below, and you wanted to select only the Canned Beer category. What would be the most efficient method to do so?
Check the “(All)” checkbox, uncheck the “(All)” checkbox, and select the “Canned Beer” checkbox.
Uncheck the “Select Multiple Items” checkbox, then select Canned Beer.
Check “Canned Beer” and uncheck all the other items.
3. What steps would you need to take to set up your filters to appear as shown below, providing you’d added them to your report filters area in the following order: Category, Class, Week, POSChitHour and POSChitMinute?
Go to PivotTable Options and choose to display field “Down, Then Over”, using 2 report filter fields per column.
Manually drag the filter fields to the location you want to see them.
Go to PivotTable Options and choose to display field “Over, Then Down”, using 3 report filter fields per row.
