Bill Williams

Bill Williams, MA is a performance coach and consultant focused on providing clients the tools to deliver consistent high-level performance in demanding, real-time environments. His client roster includes renowned/emerging artists and business executives in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. In demand globally as a performance coach and educator, he has delivered seminars at institutions including the Juilliard School, Rice University, and the National University of Singapore. His path to focus began decades ago. As a first trumpet of major orchestras, he committed to solving the question: why doesn’t ‘hard work’ guarantee high performance when it matters most? This question led to graduate studies in psychology and collaborations with pioneers in the areas of attentional control, sport psychology, and expert skill acquisition. Bill works collaboratively with clients, providing tools to empower clients to sharpen their focus and thrive in competitive environments. In addition to his consultancy, Bill continues his performing career as a trumpet soloist and orchestral principal. He has worked with leading artists including cellist Yo-Yo Ma and performs with ensembles including the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra on artistic, cultural and educational initiatives globally.
