1. What is the best way to estimate fixed costs on a project?
Create a cost resource, assign it to a task, and then type the cost for that task.

2. How should you name a cost resource?
There is no rule or requirement, but to make it easier to understand, type cost as the prefix for the name of the resource.
Microsoft Project automatically adds the word cost to the prefix (beginning) of the resource name.
Add the word cost to the suffix (the end) of the resource’s name.
3. What are two easy ways to view the total cost for the project?
Click the Project tab and then click the Project Information icon. Alternatively, you can go to the Resource Sheet and view the total cost for all resources.
