Feeling like everything is out of control is incredibly frustrating, and the problem only intensifies when you're in a position of leadership. Not only can you not just walk away from the problem, but multiple people are counting on you to lead them through the crisis. And when more than one crisis hits at the same time, you can have true chaos on your hands. However, in this course, you'll learn all the ways you can still find — and create — order, even amidst disaster and disorder. Your instructor is Joanne Walters, an operations and business leader and HR professional. She’ll walk you through how to invoke creativity in moments of chaos, as well as how to develop the traits of a true creative leader. You'll learn a creative problem-solving process, along with the principles and strategies of sense-making. Use this course to take control of chaotic and surprising situations, and cultivate a positive mindset that will reverberate within yourself and throughout your team.

Joanne is a dynamic speaker, author, and human resources professional with 20 years of progressive management experience in multiple industries-including education, information technology, and financial services. Currently, she works in an HR leadership role for a healthcare company in the Caribbean. Joanne has earned a master of business administration with a concentration in technology management and a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in finance. Joanne is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and a trained paralegal specializing in employment law. In addition, Joanne is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
