To be successful in sales you need to master your psychology.  This includes mastering your believe in your company and its product / service.

When to use

You always need to master your beliefs in your company and ensure that your beliefs are aligned with your company’s beliefs. 

Instructions

In order to be successful in sales, you need to master your beliefs in your company.  You need to know what it is you believe about your product, about your service and about your company.

  • The first thing you need to do is believe in your company.  The core values of the company need to be aligned with your core values. 
  • The second thing you need to do is make sure the mission of your company is aligned with your personal mission. 
  • Finally, the goals of the company need to be in alignment with your personal goals.

If you believe in your company, the product and services and the company’s core values and mission, it is easier to sell.

Henry Ford has a great quote, “Whether you believe you can or you can’t, you’re right.” This is so true and powerful.  What you believe makes a difference.

  • 00:17 What do you believe about your product?

  • 00:24 So the first thing that you have to master when it comes to mastering your belief is,
  • 00:29 do you believe in your company?
  • 00:32 You have to believe in your company.
  • 00:34 A lot of salespeople will take a job just to sell something, and
  • 00:38 they don't really feel that alignment with that company.
  • 00:42 So, the core values of that company need to be in alignment with your core values.
  • 00:49 For example, if you have a core value of professionalism and
  • 00:53 you're working with a company that you think is completely unprofessional,
  • 00:56 how successful are you gonna be at selling?
  • 01:00 And if you are successful at selling, how do you feel inside about doing that?
  • 01:05 That makes a big difference of how you're going to show up,
  • 01:08 either with your clients or even at the office, okay?
  • 01:11 Number two, the mission needs to be in alignment.
  • 01:14 So whatever the mission is of your company,
  • 01:18 needs to be in alignment with your personal mission.
  • 01:21 Why is that important?
  • 01:23 Again, when you feel congruent with your company, is it easier to sell?
  • 01:28 Is it easier to influence somebody else and
  • 01:30 convince them about their mission and those core values?
  • 01:35 You bet, so when you are in perfect alignment with your company, that's great.
  • 01:40 Now, does that mean that you're not gonna disagree with some things and policies or
  • 01:45 things that your company has?
  • 01:47 No of course, right?
  • 01:48 Of course not.
  • 01:48 It doesn't have to be exactly perfect.
  • 01:50 But the general core values,
  • 01:52 the general mission, needs to align with what it is for you personally.
  • 01:56 Does that make sense?
  • 01:57 Okay, great.
  • 01:58 And your goals need to be in alignment as well, okay?
  • 02:02 So if you work for a company that is trying to help companies be more
  • 02:06 efficient, that needs to be something that you're in alignment with.
  • 02:10 Or something that helps people enjoy their jobs more,
  • 02:15 that needs to be in alignment with you as well.
  • 02:17 Does that make sense?
  • 02:18 Okay, so let's review, you have to master your beliefs, okay?
  • 02:23 Cuz step two is master your psychology, there's a lot of pieces to that.
  • 02:26 The first piece of your psychology is what you believe.
  • 02:29 Henry Ford has a great quote.
  • 02:31 It says, whether you believe you can or you can't, you're right.
  • 02:38 It's so powerful, isn't it?
  • 02:40 So what you believe makes a difference.
  • 02:42 You have to believe in your company.
  • 02:44 Its core values need to be in alignment with your core values.
  • 02:48 The mission needs to be in alignment with your mission.
  • 02:50 Their goals need to be in alignment with your goals.
  • 02:53 That's when you're gonna have more success and you're going to enjoy the journey.
  • 02:58 You're going to enjoy the process of selling this company's product or
  • 03:01 service, okay?
