  • 00:04 Let's talk about page templates.
  • 00:05 Notice how I'm on the Crystal Reports section, and
  • 00:09 I can just come over here and add a page, right?
  • 00:13 And notice when I do that, they're just blank pages for right now.
  • 00:16 So I'll call this one Beginner, and I'll click here and
  • 00:22 call this one Intermediate, all right?
  • 00:27 So fine, when we add, when we pick on the plus sign, it just adds a blank page.
  • 00:34 Well, watch how there's some built-in templates for the pages.
  • 00:38 So I'll pick on the Insert menu.
  • 00:41 We'll come over here and we'll pick on Page Templates.
  • 00:45 And then I could do a Simple To Do List, a Prioritized To Do List,
  • 00:51 Project To Do List, Simple Lecture Notes.
  • 00:56 So let's try the Simple To Do List.
  • 00:58 And now, the page automatically has a separate format because of that template.
  • 01:06 So it actually added a new page, and it made it that format at the same time.
  • 01:11 So let's pick on Page Templates, and let's try a Prioritized To Do List.
  • 01:18 And you see how we have high and medium and low priority, right?
  • 01:21 So that was built right in, and
  • 01:22 then you could just click next to each of those boxes and then type in your text.
  • 01:26 So these are going to give you a tremendous head start.
  • 01:29 And then even that one made a separate page within the section.
  • 01:34 So I'll pick on Page Templates, let's try a Project To Do List.
  • 01:38 And then it'll organize them by project, right?
  • 01:40 Project 1, Project 2, and so on.
  • 01:43 And then it fills in some of the blanks for you already.
  • 01:47 So these give you a tremendous head start.
  • 01:49 I'll pick on Page Templates, and
  • 01:52 let's try a Simple Lecture Notes, okay?
  • 01:56 And then you can see what this one looks like.
  • 01:58 And then there's going to be a lot more beyond that.
  • 02:02 So I'll pick on Page Templates, and then I'll pick on the the word Page Templates
  • 02:07 again, and then you'll see there's going to be a lot more.
  • 02:10 So if I click over here where it says Academic,
  • 02:15 then you'll see a bunch more beyond that.
  • 02:19 If I pick on the pulldown where it says Blank,
  • 02:22 even there, there's some built in formats.
  • 02:25 These are different paper sizes.
  • 02:26 Letter, legal, these are European sizes, and so on.
  • 02:31 So it'll automatically format those pages into those sizes, all right?
  • 02:37 So those are good templates.
  • 02:38 If I pick on Business, then you see even more there.
  • 02:43 Project Overview, Simple Meeting Notes, Informal Meeting Notes, and so on.
  • 02:48 If I pick on Decorative, then we see, let's try,
  • 02:51 you don't know what these look like until you try them.
  • 02:55 Let's try the Blue Mist Margin, and
  • 02:57 then you just kind of see what that looks like and there's the margin over there.
  • 03:02 So if you don't like that, I can just delete that page, right?
  • 03:05 You're never set in stone here.
  • 03:06 So I'm going to right-click on that and then delete that page, but
  • 03:10 that was called the Blue Mist Margin.
  • 03:13 So if I scroll down, there's a bunch of decorative ones.
  • 03:17 Let's try the Pushpins Corner.
  • 03:19 And then you can see the pushpins are there, and
  • 03:22 that made a whole separate page.
  • 03:24 So there's tons of these different page templates.
  • 03:27 If I scroll down further, I see a lot of decorative ones, and then we have one for
  • 03:31 planners, Simple To Do List, Prioritizing, those are the ones that we saw before.
  • 03:37 So you can make a blank page.
  • 03:39 Well, when I just pick on Add a Page, however,
  • 03:42 if you wanted to maybe dress it up a little bit, you pick on Insert,
  • 03:46 and then Page Templates, and then we saw a bunch of those.
  • 03:50 And then if I wanted to see the complete list, I'll pick on Page Templates here.
  • 03:54 And then you get this window on the right-hand side.
  • 03:58 So there you have a lot of pre-made templates for you.
