Skills

  • You have excellent analytical skills - you like to find and solve problems. You would make an excellent detective.
  • You are thorough
  • You have excellent attention to detail
  • You have a knack for good customer and user experience on web and mobile applications
  • You can write clearly and concisely, with an excellent ability to describe bugs, events and processes
  • You have expert communication skills - you can communicate with developers, designers, marketers and stakeholders easily
  • You are willing to learn and develop your skills
  • You have good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • You are proactive, and have strong drive and initiative
  • You’re a team player but can also work independently
  • You’re eager to roll up your sleeves to DIY and have a strong desire to achieve great outcomes.
  • You are comfortable working autonomously, in an environment that doesn’t have strict processes. When something needs to get done, you get it done.
  • You have a self-starter mentality, highly curious, comfortable with us releasing new features early and often, and see part of your role as being an advocate for the end-user.
  • You have noticed some bullet points have a full stop and others don’t.

What you will do

  • Create customer profiles and document all user journeys
  • Thoroughly go through each customer journey and document any bugs
  • Meticulously describe bugs
  • Note any part of the user experience that can be improved
  • Ensure the website and new features are implemented according to design specifications
  • Suggest ideas to improve the user experience and design of the website

Equipment and office space

For this role you will need to provide your own computer and high-speed internet connection. You can work wherever you like. For online catch-ups, you need a relatively quiet place to work.

Location

Anywhere in the world, but within a workable time zone. Most of your work will be with other GoSkills people in Hong Kong, the US and New Zealand. Most of the developers currently live in New Zealand.
